Universal Credit Tickets
Here at National Marine Aquarium, home of the Ocean Conservation Trust, we want to help as many people feel connected to the Ocean as possible. We know that if you have an emotional connection to the Ocean we are more likely to protect it. We also know the difficulties people are facing right now, especially for those in lower income households.
To tackle this we have launched Universal Credit Tickets – providing a reduced ticket rate to allow people and their families to enjoy the UK’s conservation Aquarium for the day.
These tickets are available for up to six people per household and proof of receipt of one of the below benefits must be brought along on the day. To qualify you must have received a payment in the last month and you will be asked for named ID (for example, passport, driving license or bank card).
You must book these tickets online in advance – you cannot walk up to the aquarium and buy as only full price tickets are available on the door. We will be allocating tickets flexibly to ensure a great experience for all.
| Ticket Type | Price |
|---|---|
| Adult (16 years old+) | £10 |
| Child (3-15 years old) | £8 |
| Carers (1-2-1) & Under 3s | Free |
This reduced rate allows a day entry for the Aquarium – the Annual Pass and Wet ‘n’ Wild deal is excluded under this scheme. If you are wanting to upgrade to an annual return pass you’ll be able to do so by paying the difference in ticket price.
Once tickets are purchased online, you’ll be required to provide evidence upon Aquarium entry. Valid evidence includes:
- Named ID that matches the booking name (Passport, Drivers Licence, Bank Card) and one of:
- Payment on Universal Credit Portal
- Saved copy of Universal Credit online statement
- Digital copy of benefit letter
- Physical copy of benefit letter
