The NMA is excited to launch our exclusive Ocean Squad Lates sessions, happening on the 31st July and 28th August!
Following the huge success of our popular and fun-packed Ocean Squad teen activity club, we’re bringing you two bonus evening sessions where you can find out more about our amazing Ocean and get crafty by creating your own work of art or handy set of lunchtime supplies!
Kicking off with out exciting Plastic Free Evening, we’ll be giving eco-conscious teenagers the chance to create their own fabric designs for a set of beeswax wraps – a great reusable alternative to single-use plastics such as cling film and food bags, and perfect for wrapping your lunch up with. After creating personalised wraps, we’ll then get to design a glass jar that can be used for drinking, carrying your lunch or for storing smaller items! We can all do our bit to help our Ocean, and reducing your consumption of single-use plastics is a small and easy way to start.
Our second Ocean Squad Lates, happening later this summer, will give participants the chance to create their very own piece of graffiti art! A popular activity from our main Ocean Squad programme, it’s back by popular demand – and whether you want to paint a placard to highlight an Ocean conservation issue or design a habitat for your favourite Ocean animal to live in, the choice is yours.
Ocean Squad Lates are open to 11-15 year olds and are £10 per session. Book your teenager’s ticket here.
