The NMA is a special venue with a Café that opens 7 days a week, plus we offer a range of exciting spaces that hold corporate and private events. All events held here support our vital Ocean Conservation work.
We are looking to recruit Aquarium Assistants to work in our Front of House areas on a casual. Our busiest times are weekends and school holidays. We are looking for people who want to provide a top class service to our customers, who smile a lot, who excel in customer care and ensure that all required standards are met regarding Food Hygiene, Health and Safety etc. We are particularly looking for people with energy and initiative.
Café – You may be based in either the Café, the Softplay area or the Garden Kiosk. We are looking for casual staff to work occasional weekends and school holidays.
Functions – We are looking for casual staff to work occasional evenings, waiting tables, KP’ing, helping set up and close down evening events. We are particularly busy in November and December hosting Christmas Parties and are looking for people aged 18 and over due to the need to serve alcohol.
Retail & Admissions – As part of this team you would work across the two areas and would be the initial and last point of contact for our visitors. We are looking for casual staff to work occasional days and to support during our busier periods during the school holidays. Experience in a busy retail environment would be beneficial.
Rates of Pay – £7.70 per hour (age under 25) or £8.21 per hour (age 25+). An additional £1.50 per hour is paid if working after 7pm.
