Join us at the aquarium to celebrate Plymouth’s Wonder Women in STEM! 

Enjoy talks showcasing the greatest achievements of women in Plymouth pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and meet our Aquarium science communicators by the shark tank! 

Our guest speakers are:

Chloe Smithers and Noelia Zorrilla – Earth Observation scientists at ARGANS 

Cordelia Roberts – PhD student looking at the functional biology and ecology of aquatic fungi

Tarin Chance – Computer Gaming Technology Engineer and computer programmer 

Yasmin Meeda – Marine microbiologist, Vice-Chair EDI Committee and PhD student at Marine Biological Association

Doors open at 18:00 and talks begin at 18:30.

This event is suitable for 14+. Tickets are £4 per person and include a view of some of our exhibits.

The National Marine Aquarium (NMA) is the UK’s largest aquarium, located in Britain’s Ocean City, Plymouth. It is run by the Ocean Conservation Trust, a charity dedicated to connecting people with the Ocean.
