Salary is £14.25 per hour based on a 16hr shift.

The Ocean Conservation Trust is a charity focussed on habitat restoration and behaviour change, that owns and runs the National Marine Aquarium, one of Plymouth’s top tourist attractions. Our aquarium in Plymouth includes three large mixed displays of 500,000L, 650,000L and 2,500,000L. One is themed on our local marine life and is the largest native exhibit in the UK.

We are recruiting a Sleepover Supervisor to join our out of hours team. The role requires you to interact with either public or private group sleepovers, to deliver our experience activity through interaction with both the group leaders and children. This will include delivering shows and workshops. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable presenting to a minimum group of 50 children. You must be hard working, reliable, conscientious, and able to make on-the-spot decisions as you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare of a large group in a public building. Experience of working with children is an advantage and a DBS check is essential. You will be expected to work as part of a team, as well as having the initiative to work independently.

There are up to 3 shifts per month, with extra shifts available. Shift patterns can differ, but you would be expected to be available Thursday/Friday/Saturday evenings throughout the year. Shifts normally start at 17:00 with your shift finishing the following morning at 9.30am.
