Volunteer Host Positions
The National Marine Aquarium was the first aquarium in the United Kingdom solely set up for the purpose of education, conservation and research. Our mission is to inspire all of our visitors to enjoy, learn and care about the oceans and we need your help to do that!
We are looking for volunteers to join our aquarium host team. As a host you would be required to interact with visitors, both on a one-to-one basis and also through scheduled talks. Your main aim would be to provide as much help and information as possible in order to improve our visitors’ experience.
Volunteer host positions are available throughout the week, with flexible hours.
We are also looking for a small number of individuals to assist with the Learning Team’s family activities. These volunteers would be based in our Discovery Zone, interacting with young children through arts and crafts based activities. The hours available are weekends and holidays.
