The National Marine Aquarium has a team of scientists dedicated to carrying out scientific programmes and communicating marine science to the wider world. The Aquarium is also a member of the internationally renowned Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership – a group of respected and influential organisations carrying out a wide range of research into the understanding of marine systems.

Project Sea UK
Project SeaUK is a multidisciplinary scientific research and communication programme coordinated by the National Marine Aquarium. Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership
The primary mission of the Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership is to conduct world-class marine research to increase fundamental knowledge and to provide practical solutions to problems. An important element of the partnership’s mission is the understanding and management of human impacts on the environment.
