Our Mission: To inspire everyone to take action towards sustainability and conservation of the marine environment.

Opened in 2009, this new exhibit displays hundreds of fascinating jellies from around the world. These strange creatures don’t have hearts or brains…they move across the oceans catching food with their stinging tentacles. From calming moon jellies and Japanese sea nettles to peculiar Upside-down jellies, get a glimpse into the life of these amazing animals. We house our jellies in special round ‘kreisel’ tanks, which prevent any damage to their delicate bodies.
Also, take a look into our behind-the-scenes ‘Ocean Lab’, where we are successfully breeding hundreds of jellies. There are live food cultures for jellies and seahorses as well as a water chemistry suite, where we monitor the water parameters for every exhibit.
