This November, we have the perfect event for anyone over the age of 18 with an interest in marine science. From Pen to Ink, A Closer Look at Squid is the next in our NMA | Lates series and will showcase a talk by John Rundle centred around the amazing world of cephalopods. Plus, if that wasn’t enough you’ll be able to take a detailed look at the external and internal anatomy of a squid through a led dissection, understanding the role that science plays in learning about animals. Explore what makes a squid different from other animals – including humans. This relaxed, adult-only setting is also a great opportunity for guests to network.
Join us for this talk and dissection from 19:00 on Wednesday the 14th of November here at the NMA. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore our Eddystone and Atlantic Ocean Exhibits.
Plus, it doesn’t end there. The final 2018 NMA | Lates evening will be our Pints, Pies and PhD’s evening on Wednesday the 12th of December. Featuring PhD students from the University of Plymouth presenting their research and scientific discoveries, this’ll be a fascinating and festive evening. It’ll be an informal event to spark discussions of current work and interesting scientific issues. Not to mention, every guest will receive a free pint and mince pies! This event begins at 18:00 and is £5.00 a ticket for adults 18+. Book your spot here.
We look forward to seeing you at these NMA | Lates evenings!
