Who says you can’t still enjoy the great outdoors and a sea breeze in October? Our final boat trip of the year is almost upon us and it is not one to be missed.
We have had a great summer at sea exploring the historic Plymouth Sound and offering talks, tours and demonstrations highlighting what makes it so significant. Plymouth Sound is of particular importance as a Special Area of Conservation thanks its crucial species and habitats. These include vulnerable seagrass and pink sea fans. With relatively gentle waves as a result of the Plymouth Breakwater it’s the perfect area to explore the wonders of our Ocean and what we can do to protect it. In joining one of our boat tours, you are not only learning about the historical and natural history of the harbour, but also supporting our marine conservation charity. Continued support means we can progress with our research and conservation efforts to allow our Oceans to thrive – from the Sound in our backyard, to Oceans across the globe.
Perfect for all ages, families and groups, our NMA boat trips are for those just acquainting themselves with the wonders of the Ocean, to the seasoned sailors after a new perspective on the harbour. Everyone can get involved to learn about the Ocean and what we can do to protect it.
