We’ll be holding 20 beach cleans in the South West from March the 31st to June the 3rd to celebrate our 20th Birthday! Everyone’s invited so feel free to come along to meet our host team and help us clean up our local environment.
It’ll be a great series of events for all ages and a perfect way to feel good about contributing to a cleaner, safer ocean. All you’ll need to bring are some sturdy shoes and clothes to prepare for all weathers, and yourselves! We’ll provide bags and gloves.
To start us off, we’ll be cleaning Mount Batten beach on Saturday the 31st of March from 10:00 – 12:00. Check out the full list of times, dates, and locations below:
Plastics have been in use widely for over 50 years, and every piece of plastic created still exists today. We’ll be sorting out all the rubbish we find to be recycled and reused again. This will help save marine life such as seabirds or turtles who might swallow plastic when mistaking it for food, which causes serious harm. As plastics break down into small pieces, they can be eaten by the smallest plankton and accumulate until they reach the top predator on the food chain! Through this, plastic can enter the fish we like to eat, so no piece of plastic collected is too small!
So why not pop along to one of our beach cleans and turn it into a fantastic day out!
We hope to see you there so you can celebrate our 20th birthday with us.
