The Marine Curriculum brought alive

The National Marine Aquarium was the first aquarium in the UK to be set up solely for the purposes of education, conservation and research.

We believe students should be inspired to learn about the Marine Curriculum through hands-on experience – that's why we have invested in a brand new state-of-the-art learning centre - Just Add H₂O Learning Zone.

Our innovative and inspirational learning programme is delivered by a team of dedicated marine biologists, qualified teachers and resident artists.

Just Add H₂O has the following facilities available at the Aquarium

• The AquaLab for pratical group workshops
• A TV studio to produce films
• A science theatre to enable students to interact during shows
• Seminar rooms fully equipped to enhance the learning experience

A range of in-school resources including an outreach programme and loan boxes to support delivery of inspiring marine-based curriculum enrichment.

Development of on-line resources and opportunities for schools to take part in remote marine missions.
