Volunteer Host Positions

Last updated: 5th December 2011

The National Marine Aquarium was the first aquarium in the UK set up solely for the purpose of education, conservation and research. Our mission is to inspire all of our visitors to enjoy, learn and care about the oceans and we need your help to do that!

We are looking for volunteers to join our Aquarium host team. As a host you would be required to interact with visitors, both on a one-to-one basis and also through scheduled talks. Your main aim would be to provide as much help and information as possible in order to improve our visitors’ experience.

Volunteer host positions are available throughout the week, with flexible hours.

Previous experience of working with people of all abilities is highly desirable and you must be hard working, reliable and conscientious with excellent communication skills. Experience working with children is an advantage and a CRB check is essential. You will be expected to work as part of a team, as well as having the initiative to work independently.

If you are interested please complete this application form and then send it with a CV and covering letter to
host@national-aquarium.co.uk
