Join the Swashbuckling fun at this year’s Pirate Weekend with the NMA!

26th April 2018

Plymouth’s beautiful Sutton Harbour will be brimming with pirates on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of May for the famous Pirate Weekend!
Plymouth welcomes you and your crew to the waterfront for a swashbuckling two days of celebrations with stalls, events, and pirates galore! This award-winning family event runs once a year and is guaranteed to give you a great adventure-filled day out!

We’ll be joining in with the fun here at the National Marine Aquarium. So why not include Pirate Boat Ride across Sutton Harbour to the NMA and Rockfish? It’ll be manned by pirates and any kids dressed as pirates will ride for free!

At the NMA we’ve got an exciting Pirate Trail around the Aquarium for all visitors to enjoy. Our hosts and volunteers will be dressed as pirates for the day and they’ll be showcasing loads of incredible artefacts and treasures from the sea.

Plus, we’ve got two Pirate Beach cleans going on during the weekend too! All are welcome to come along and do their bit for marine conservation. Who knows, you might even find some buried treasure!

Our Pirate Beach Cleans run on:

Saturday 12thMay: 9:30 – 11:30 at Teats Hill

Sunday 13th May: 9:30 – 11:30 at Bantham Beach

We hope to see you and your shipmates at the Aquarium this May!
