Whether you are a teacher from a specialist SEN school or you have students with additional needs in your mainstream class, our programme is fully inclusive and can be differentiated for the needs of everyone that takes part.

Entry Options:

Our full suite of SEN sessions that have been have been designed with teachers to be as flexible as possible.  This ensures that each group gets a session suited to their needs.

Students visiting the Aquarium as part of a dedicated Special Educational Needs group visit have two basic options for entry into the Aquarium. Costs are based on a group size of 12 or more students.

If you don’t find a programme that is applicable to your students, please get in touch and we will be pleased to create a bespoke session for your group.

Interactive Tour £6.00 per student

Travel the Oceans with one of our Discovery and Learning team on a sensory and immersive journey through the Aquarium exhibits. Each tour is tailored to meet the needs of your students and current Programmes of Study.

Explorer Visit £5.25 per student

A self guided visit to the Aquarium, your students will have access to the whole Aquarium and to the full programme of public shows, talks and feeds.

The JustAddH2O Headquarters are the perfect place to base your group as part of a visit to the Aquarium. With access to quiet lunch spaces, toilets and small private rooms we can provide opportunities for those who require additional space or resources to address their needs without affecting the experience of their friends.

Ocean Crafts

Our Ocean Craft workshops are designed to complement your visit to the National Marine Aquarium by allowing your students to get creative in the classroom.  We have developed an extensive range of activities that support this; from creating your own wearable habitat hats, to turning paper plates into fabulous fish!

Ocean Investigation

An Ocean Investigation workshop is all about getting hands on and discovering the world beneath the waves. Your students will have the opportunity to handle artefacts from our extensive specimen collections. It’s a chance to work together to experience the shapes, colours and textures of our ocean inhabitants.

Adult prices & ratios

Free accompanying adults are welcome with all school groups within the following ratios:

• 1:3 free adults for Early Years & Foundation stage groups
• 1:7 free adults for KS1 & 2 groups
• 1:10 free adults for KS3 & 4 groups

Free additional adults in a full time 1:1 classroom support role
• Extra adults at £6.50 each
