The Ocean Conservation Trust at the National Marine Aquarium is looking to recruit Aquarium Assistants to work within our Front of House departments. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. However, you will have excellent communication skills and will be confident when dealing with members of the public and any experience in a busy customer focused environment would be beneficial.
Here at the National Marine Aquarium we have extremely busy periods at weekends and holidays when we need extra staff. We are looking for friendly and approachable team members who can deliver the highest level of experience for our visitors in our Front of House areas.
You will play a key role in providing an exceptional service by engaging with our visitors, forming a natural rapport and being attentive to their needs, including demonstrating your product knowledge by advising and making suggestions so that they leave us delighted with the level of service they have received. Ideally you will have great people skills, be passionate about delivering excellent customer service with good attention to detail and are able to form positive working relationships with colleagues.
Admissions and Retail – Daytime shifts
As part of this team, you would work across the two areas and would be the initial and last point of contact for our visitors. We are looking for casual staff to work within our ticketing and shop on occasional days and to support during our busy seasonal periods. Experience in a busy retail environment would be beneficial.

Café and Functions
We are looking for casual staff to work within our Café/Soft Play and during Functions on occasional days and evenings to support during our busy summer period and the school holidays. Experience in a busy fast paced catering environment would be beneficial.
